PDRF, OCD CALABARZON lead DRMM planning workshop with Antipolo LGU

In partnership with the Office of Civil Defense – CALABARZON, the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation through its Building Resilience through Inclusive Development and Gender Equality (BRIDGE) Project facilitated a workshop with the local government of Antipolo City to update their Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Plan (LDRRMP) on May 26-29, 2026.

The workshop provided the local government with an opportunity to assess the existing provisions of their Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Plan (LDRRMP) and collaborate with technical experts in identifying strategies to advance Integrated Water Resource Management (IWRM) and Gender and Development (GAD) principles into the updated plan.

Aligned with the City's ongoing commitment to prioritizing programs for women and Indigenous Peoples, the activity directly supports the BRIDGE Project's goal of strengthening the policies and implementation of gender-responsive, climate- and disaster-resilient Integrated Water Resource Management (IWRM) among local institutions.

Funded by Global Affairs Canada, BRIDGE Project's ultimate outcome is to improve the climate and disaster resilience of water-stressed communities in the cities of Antipolo and Baguio in the next four years.
